Our first experiences with Eco Tyres were back in 2004 when we started selling secondhand Green tyres from Japan. They sold at the same price as regular used tyres and were popular with customers. At that time we were aware that these tyres were extremely expensive new and hardly a serious proposition for sale in New Zealand. Then Hankook launched their exciting Enfren Eco tyre; being a premium product which sold well despite its premium pricing.
It became obvious that our online tyre customers were very interested in Eco Tyres and their small environmental foot print and especially the fuel savings of up to 5% available. But this category’s premium pricing from all tyre companies, and the big initial investment required, proved a barrier to Green Tyres acheiving sales success in the mass market.
So Eco Tyres became a niche product which was found on new and secondhand imported vehicles and on some cars owned by environmentally aware consumers.
Everything changed when Linglong’s Green Max Asymmetric tyre from China was launched. Finally we had a high quality Eco new tyre sold at super competitive price points. But wait, there is more! The Green Max was the first new tyre on the New Zealand market to carry the mandatory new European Union (EU) tyre label confirming its great performance, fuel economy and low noise, all of which have been verified by official European Union testing. For avoidance of all possible doubt, this Green Tyre delivers great fuel economy and protects our environment, all with no decline in durability or performance. Internet tyre sales of these great new tyres are making them available to everyone.
These new EU tyre labels are going to transform the tyre market as the consumer will now have a benchmark for comparison of tyre brands and will no longer will be reliant on tyre shop claims. These labels will drive the trend to Eco Tyres as consumers are sure to take account of their fuel saving and performance data which can be relied on due to their official origins.
The Green Max Eco Tyre is a high quality international tyre which enjoys heavy sales in Europe. Having nothing to hide, Linglong have extended their EU tyre label to New Zealand even though there is no legal requirement for them to do so. Not all tyre companies will risk selling their tyres with EU labels in New Zealand as this would expose their products terrible performance and fuel saving standards.
That’s the Green Max, the worlds first Mass Market Eco Tyre, available at super online tyre low prices with low rolling resistance, great fuel economy, low noise levels and great wet weather performance; all of which is verified by their official EU tyre labels.
