Back in 1989 the Hankook Tyre Company of Korea had quite a conundrum; their international sales of quality Hankook new tyres were growing rapidly, both in volumes and stature. And they were constructing two vast tyre manufacturing plants in China, which at that time were mostly intended to supply the Chinese domestic market. So were Hankook going to simply duplicate their Korean branding and product range or do something else?
Well, Hankook did something else and created their brilliant Kingstar Tyre range featuring first world quality control and product development albeit not quite as technically advanced as their Korean made products. Best of all, the miracles of Chinese production costs meant that they could sell a first class product at very low prices normally associated with cheap budget tyres; Kingstar’s really are a high quality tyre backed up by Hankook’s massive product development and quality control resources, which thanks to the ultra low Chinese production costs, can be sold at very low prices.
At first Kingstar used highly popular older Hankook tyre patterns, but since 2009 all Kingstar tyre patterns like the brilliant SK10 and Sk70 have been brand new patterns especially engineered by Hankook for their Kingstar brand. Hankook/Kingstar now have over 30% of the vast chinese new tyre market and the Kingstar brand is a huge selling and respected brand all over the world.
Kingstar tyres are warmly recommended to folks buying tyres online direct and wanting first class products at bargain prices or budget tyre buyers wanting high quality tyres without having to pay first class prices.
